What each kind of device is actually like to live with

Our experience of setting subscriptions up on each, not a marketing table.

Samsung / LG smart TVGood, with a caveatDepends entirely on which players are still in your model's store. Older sets lose apps over time and there is nothing anyone can do about that from the outside.

Two devices, one subscription

People often ask whether they can put the details on the television and the phone. Yes — the details are not locked to one device. What limits you is the number of connections: one connection plays one stream at a time, wherever it is. Set it up in as many places as you like and watch on one of them.

Which to buy if you have none of these

An Android TV box or stick, every time. It costs less than the subscription, it works with every established player, it does not depend on a television manufacturer keeping an app alive, and it can be moved to another set later. We do not sell hardware and have nothing to gain from that advice.
